Children’s Sunday School

45-9:00AM Children begin the morning by checking in at the Welcome Center in Westminster Hall of the sanctuary building. Children are invited to gather in the children’s corner to await the start of worship.

00-10:00 AM OR 11:15 AM-12:15 PM Children are encouraged to attend worship with the congregation.

00am-10:15am Children gather with their teachers in their classrooms in the education building for snack and fellowship time

15am-11:05am Children begin the day’s lesson and activity. Our Sunday morning curriculum, Power Xpress, utilizes multiple intelligences and learning styles to teach key concepts from scripture. Over the academic year, 11 units of study will be introduced, emphasizing the Old Testament in the Fall and the New Testament in the winter and Spring. One unit on the Christmas story and one unit on events from Holy week complete the year within the Advent and Lenten seasons accordingly. Each unit is studied over the course of three Sundays. Units contain activities such as art, storytelling, cooking, science, and games to facilitate learning.

00-11:30AM Children may attend children’s choir rehearsal in the chapel. We feel worship is an integral part of the spiritual life of all Christians and want our children to realize they too can contribute. They can lift up their voices in a gift of praise to the glory of the Lord.
