Liturgists
The word “liturgy” when applied to Christian worship means “the work of the people.” Liturgy, therefore, is not simply the sphere for ministers. Because God calls all Christians to ministry, and because liturgy and worship are for all of us, we encourage laity to share in the leadership of worship. Lay liturgists usually help lead the Call to Worship, Prayer of Confession, Assurance of Forgiveness and the Passing of the Peace.
