Ritchie and his two sisters grew up in Robinson, Illinois. He moved to Champaign in 2000 and he started working at First Pres in June of 2011. This is where he met his lovely wife (who is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo). They were married in 2014 and they moved into their new home last year. They both enjoy gardening and puttering around the house.
